We welcome you warmly with homely prepared dishes made using traditional techniques that bring out the essence of Bosnian hospitality, culture, traditions and flavors.
With a large emphasis of fondly reliving your favorite childhood memories such as visiting your grandparent’s place in their small village, playing outside on the hillsides and having green forests and child laughter all around you, being called by your grandparent to eat. Running with much excitement to have a seat at the table where a feast awaits. From your favorite cuts of meat, cheese, pastries and pies to freshly made juices – Etno Begovo Selo offers a unique culinary experience for each and every guest.
Our commitment to our culture and traditions shows in the food we prepare with much care, love and dedication.
Bosnian hospitality is well-known for its social life – the welcoming into our homes as if you are part of our family, the gathering around the table with coffee and food, and the care we put into everything and everyone – and it is something you can definitely taste within our food.
Meals are prepared using traditional techniques of preparing, cooking or roasting, rolling the dough into a translucent phyllo dough, using specific herbs and spices to give our food more flavor, the drying of specific types of meats, the making of cheese and butter… the best way to taste the essence of what Bosnia is can only be experienced in person – around a table with your loved ones, surrounded by pine trees, the sound of birds and laughter.
Walk through the village and see the abundance it has to offer: from our gardens filled with rows of veggies, to our greenhouse and orchard with different types of fruit trees. Notice how each and every windowsill in the village grows herbs, edible or medicinal flowers. Every single dish and drink we prepare in our kitchens are made with home-grown and locally sourced ingredients that add a wholesome flavor of childhood memories, of home, of family, of comfort and joy.
Bosnia offers a flavorful culinary experience due to its Western and Eastern influences. Paired with interesting sights and vistas, we love to take your holiday to a whole new level. From creating pies in the village to creating a home-like feel to breathtaking vistas overlooking Sarajevo while sipping on different types of brandy or craft-beer, paired nicely with different cuts of dried meat and cheeses. Whether you would like to experience this in pairs or in groups as family, friends, or corporate gatherings, we have experience in tailor-made culinary experiences that suit your needs, wishes and desires and special occasions.

You can't say you've seen the Bosnian history without visiting this hidden gem! This place is breath taking, beautiful vibes and nice people! We've met Senan the owner, he's very kind hearted and would stay with you for hours to tell you all about his place. We are luck that we had to visit this place. Wish to visit Bosnia again one day.
We've been lucky to find this place working as it was out of season and it was operating only on weekends. There is very spacious restaurant done in historical village style decorated with interesting 40's and 50's Yugoslav posters (amongst other things). Perfect uštipci, pleasant service and the best ever apple jam. Some of their produce you can buy to take with you. The place also offers accommodation in wifi-free rooms and cabins. The rooms have central heating, while the cabins have wood-powered individual heating. The narrow approach road starting from the petrol station on the main road was perfectly passable despite huge amount of snow aground. This place is perfect nature retreat.
Wonderful place for rest and peace. This is an amazing etno village! There’s have a wonderfull little museum about culture. Pleasant and hospitable hosts, good food, beautiful nature. There are also many points of interest nearby. I will definitely come back, and recommend anyone to visit!😊
Great place to stay and rewind. Experience the traditional village live with great Bosnian traditional cuisine. Very near to Sarajevo and touristical sites in the area. I stayed multiple times and you always feel refreshed and energized coming back from the fresh mountain air. The owner is so nice and a true animal lover.
It is a museum/Bosnian etno village/restaurant and it is a fairytale place, an absolute beauty. Artefacts on display are from the end of 19th, begining of 20th century. It is also possible to walk through nearby woods and enjoy fresh air. The whole concept tells a story about Bosnia and its people as they once were. An absolute must see!
